DIY Wedding
We always knew that if we were to have a wedding one day, we didn't want it to be just a single day filled with pressure and to stress about everything being perfect. Instead, we imagined a multi-day celebration with our family and the friends who have walked alongside us through life.
We have always felt deeply connected to those films and stories that portray Italian weddings — where everyone cooks together, decorates together, laughs, talks, and truly lives the moment. No rushing, just being present. The breathtaking Tuscan landscapes during our travels only strengthened that feeling: if we ever get married, it should feel like this. That's how the idea of hosting our wedding in Tuscany was born.
This will not be a traditional, tightly scheduled event. Rather, we see it as a shared holiday in a relaxed and informal atmosphere — where, on one special day, June 25, 2026, under the Tuscan olive trees, we say YES I DO and we will begin our forever.
We would love to bring this wedding to life in a DIY concept. We imagine these days as if we were gathered with one big Italian family: everyone contributing in their own way. Some may help with cooking, others with decorating or setting things up — or simply by being there, chatting, creating a joyful atmosphere (and refilling the prosecco 😉). Just like when we celebrate at home with our families during a special occasion.
Our goal is to create shared experiences, slow down, and truly enjoy being together.
Important Notes About Meals:
We are not planning a classic, fully catered wedding. On the wedding day (June 25), Dominik's parents — who are incredible cooks — will help prepare the food, and there will also be serving staff present. However, we may still rely on a bit of teamwork around mealtimes.
Drinks will be arranged in a way that allows everyone to easily help themselves — just like at a home party.
The other days should truly feel like a shared holiday. We will cook together. We will purchase and provide the ingredients in advance, but we may count on you to join in with preparation and clean-up. No stress, no obligations — just a "let's do this together, like we would on vacation" atmosphere.
Of course, it is completely fine if someone prefers to buy their own ingredients or prepare food that suits their personal preferences or dietary needs. Each apartment is equipped with its own kitchen.
On Thursday and Friday mornings, at a pre-announced time, we will provide a simple breakfast for our guests. However, it is perfectly understandable if someone prefers to have breakfast at a bakery, dine at a restaurant, or choose a different plan. In such cases, please note that we can only provide meals for those who are present during the scheduled times.
We are dreaming of a wedding celebration where things unfold naturally, together and in good spirits. For us, this wedding is about shared time, laughter, and simple, honest moments. We want to create a memorable wedding with family and friends. Everyone contributes in the way that feels comfortable to them. We truly hope you can feel the atmosphere we've envisioned — and that you'll be happy to be part of this shared experience. 🤍
